OMCA Winners

OMCA Judges picked the winners for the 9th annual OMCA

Winners of this year’s Oregon Medical Cannabis Awards are:

# 1 Shishka Berry
# 2 Stinky Sweet
# 2 Hash Plant
# 3 Perma Frost

The Dr. Richard Bayer Award went to Dr. Eric Dover, who was unable to attend. The Freedom Fighter of the Year Award went to the Coalition for Patients Rights for their work on Measure 74.

The day event was well attended with great holiday shopping opportunities. Danny Danko surprised us with an impromptu pre-release book signing for his first The Official High Times Field Guide to Marijuana Strains.

We counted five doctors at the event at one point and are honored that Sunil Agarwal, winner of last year’s Dr. Bayer award, was among them.

Highlight of the awards banquet was the performance by J. Mack and Big Dub. They brought the whole band out just for us and let us have a sneak peek of their new songs.

With talk of unity and working towards better cooperation within our movement echoed by all who addressed the evening’s revelers, the banquet ended on a high note!

The 2010 Oregon Medical Cannabis Awards, produced some great pictures. Here they are!

Ditto, thank you so much for the cuttings

Can't thank you enough. We had almost 100% survival rate, which only happens when the mother plant is healthy. Great little cuttings will now turn into beautiful adult females. We can then donate more of these beauties.
Thanks again and good to see you both at the last meeting.

shiskaberry hashplant blueberry clones now available

Hi everyone. Jessi & James here. Sorry we have been missing from the Norml scene recently. I had some heath issues that forced me to slow down for awhile but James has been working steady in the garden. We are sorry that some of you might be upset that you haven't received any clones of our strains. I encourage all of you to come to the march Oregon norml meeting. We are back, and will be bringing clones of your voted favorite strains, shiskaberry and hashplant as well as some of our blueberry, which we were very happy with in the appearance category. Again, I'm sorry we are a little later than the others but be assured that we are firm believers in giving back to this community that has helped us so much in the past. Giving back insures that good karma that all of us growers try to achieve :) looking forward to seeing all of you on Saturday!

503og?

i have tried the 503og. wow! way better than the og crosses that are coming out of cali. It's up there with raskal, skywalker and the original O(ocean) G(grown). The clubs I have seen it in cali dont like the name but
have available for donation whenever they can get their hands on it.
I could be wrong but i think its a Herban Legends Genetics strain. They do alot of local underground genetics. Their strains I have tried are very tasty and powerful. They won a few competitions that I have gone to. In January they placed 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th in a comp that had 12 entries. I think it went 1)503og 2)gorgonzola 3)shishkaberry(kish) 4)rotten rhino 5)cheesy rhino. The trophy for 1st was pretty awesome. It was a roor specially made and engraved. Seeds and cutting were passed out to patients at the end.
all the meds were great but the 503og,the rhino and the cheese crosses stood out to me.

clones

gave out over 300 seeds of gorgonzola, dogshit2, rotten rhino and the new 503og at cafe. sorry, there will be more. ask around for a cut. ommp patients like to share

OMCA Winners and sharing clones

It is important to remember that our entrants are often OMMP patients and/or may have come from far away to enter their medicine in the OMCA.

I recently learned that our top two winners have been struggling with health issues, which is why they have not brought clones to our meeting in January.

We wish them the best and speedy recoveries all around - We'll be happy to see those clones because we know it means that those health issues are doing better!

it would be nice if they

it would be nice if they could share clones like the rest of NORML members

OMCA Recount - RESULTS UPDATE!

The dust has settled, and we found that two of our judges' ballots were not included in the original count. Fortunately, this did not cause an upset in the final results, except to create a tie for second place. Here they are including first, second and third places for each category. We have ribbons for these, but they were not announced at the banquet due to time constraints. There are no tie breakers, so ribbons and trophies will be awarded to all involved in a tie. OMCA AWARDS!

Greetings from Southern Oregon!
We were so surprise when we check the NORMIL website and seen that we won third place for "Stinky Sweet" this year! We had hoped we would place with some of our strains but third place is awesome! We are sorry we could not attend this years awards dinner. We had been looking forward to it for months. Unfortunatly Randy was just getting over being sick and I was just coming down with it. Bummmer.............
At any reate, we would like to thank all of the judges who liked our medicine and a big thank you to Madeline for driving and meeting us and picking up our entries. We plan on one day in the near furture coming up and visiting the cannibis cafe and some of it's fine patrons.

Thank you all and Happy Holidays!
