to President George W. Bush.
$2.00 buys enough stamps for President Bush, Senator Ron Wyden,
Senator Gordon Smith, and your State Senator and Representative.
And
maybe an envelope or two.

newspapers,
television, radio, and the internet.

Capitol in Salem
and our efforts to change federal laws in Washington DC.
$50.00 will pay for the hosting of this website and associated software licensing for one year.
We are a non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers, most of whom also work full-time jobs. Won't you please give what you can so our volunteers can continue to fight for your right to personal private use of marijuana? Wouldn't you like to help us help seriously ill and disabled medical marijuana patients continue to have safe access to excess medicine?
With your help, we can put an end to marijuana prohibition in Oregon and America. But it won't be done without the funds to maintain our telephone hotline, our website, our television show, our post office box, the stamps and envelopes for our letter-writing campaigns, paper and other office suppies, printing, gasoline for travel to Salem and statewide, and budgets for all our annual events. If you cannot donate your money or time, perhaps you have some of those items listed above that you would consider donating to the cause. If so, please contact us at infoornorml.org
About Oregon NORML
Oregon NORML began our life as PDX-NORML. As our organization grew, our mission expanded beyond the city of Portland and Multnomah County to encompass legislative activities in Salem and outreach to all of the regions of the state.
Since 1999, Oregon NORML has been under the direction of Madeline Martinez. Ms. Martinez is a former California State Correctional Officer and a registered medical marijuana patient/caregiver in the state of Oregon. She has been instrumental in negotiations with state lawmakers and law enforcement to craft Oregon's medical marijuana law and to fight harmful amendments to the law. Oregon's law is now considered the template for states considering their own medical marijuana legislation.
Oregon NORML has since been the leader in marijuana law reform efforts in the state. We present two major events each year (Million Marijuana March and Oregon Medical Cannabis Awards) and co-sponsor Oregon's biggest outdoor hemp festival (Portland Hempstalk). We host twelve meetings per year for medical marijuana cardholders and four meetings per year for the general public. We present a bi-monthly cable access TV show (Oregon NORML Presents) and present videos and audio on our website. And, of course, we constantly lobby our elected officials through meetings and letter-writing campaigns, educate the public through demonstrations and presentations, assist our community with information and networking opportunities, and fight for the day soon when America will reclaim her roots in cannabis hemp!
Our Motto
We are dedicated to promoting positive legal, social, and political
change with information and action in support of cannabis (marijuana)
and the many adults who use it.
Our Mission
We are leading the fight for commonsense regulation of the most useful
plant ever known to mankind -- cannabis hemp.
We stand for the safe
protected medicinal use of marijuana by patients legally enrolled
in the Oregon Medical Marijuana Program.
We stand for the industrial
use of hemp to provide food, fuel, and fiber for America and a viable
cash crop for Oregon farmers.
We stand for the regulated private use
of cannabis by adults.
Most importantly, we work to reform state and
federal laws regarding marijuana and bring an end to the harassment,
arrest, and imprisonment of responsible taxpaying American citizens.
