Cannabis Cafe Starts Regular Schedule
Oregon NORML's Cannabis Cafe will be open Monday through Saturday from 10:00am to 8:00pm. You need to be a member of Oregon NORML and the cafe to attend. Memberships are available at the door.
Oregon NORML Annual membership dues are $35.00 for the year. Cafe membership is $20 per month, and there is a $5 cover charge.
As always, please bring your proof of OMMP registration and ID along with your proof of Oregon NORML membership or be prepared to join at the door. No debit or credit cards are accepted at this time.
Movie Night Wednesday 8/4/10
Wednesday is movie night at the Cannabis Cafe. We'll be showing "Alice In Wonderland." Movie starts at 6pm. Popcorn and a soda available for $5.00. New and returning cafe members welcome.

Capacity issue at the new cafe
The Fire Marshal showed up to inspect the new location for Oregon NORML's Cannabis Cafe once the word got out about it reopening. He determined that there is a back stairway that needs some work. Unfortunately, that means that only forty-nine people can be in the cafe at a time for now. So, there could be quite a wait at the door on Saturday for the grand reopening.
"We apologize for any inconvenience; this was totally unexpected by all involved," reports Madeline Martinez, founder of the cafe.
"The press conference scheduled for 3:20pm and the grand reopening at 4:20pm will go on as planned," Martinez said.
"We need to work within the parameters set out by the Fire Marshal," stated Anna Diaz from the board of Oregon NORML. "So, we will keep a tally and let people in as others are leaving."
Please come out to the new location of the cafe on Saturday, July 31, 2010 after 4:20pm. The address is 322 SE 82nd Ave, Portland, OR 97216. And remember, it's always 4:20pm at the World Famous Oregon NORML Cannabis Cafe!
