Southern Oregon Sheriffs target grows in Southern Oregon
Southern Oregon Sheriffs arranged a flight for Rep. Greg Walden, R-Hood River to discuss the growing marijuana issues on federal land with a team of drug fighters called Southern Oregon Multi-Agency Marijuana Eradication and Reclamation (SOMMER). While being given the tour the Congressman was shown private land and told that the sheriffs believe that many Oregon Medical Marijuana Patients and their growers are exceeding plant limits calling them "pseudo medical marijuana" patches.
The seven sheriffs, organized by Jackson County Sheriff Mike Winters, urged Walden for more federal funding to beef up their departments, which have been losing funding over the years.

I belive the reason they are there is large Mexican cartels are being pushed from north Cali into southern oregon.
These groups take US dollars back to Mexico. And weaken a failing economy. Those are priorty I belive. And some of those groups are armed. That's just a thought.
